KidsClick is a "super-safe search engine for your kids" (according to the BBC).
This Using English for Academic Purposes website is intended to be a guide for students in higher education, but some of the resources may be useful for secondary students too.
We may explore how to create a timeline with timetoast, for instance. We may use Gandhi's biography according to Enchanted Learning to get information in order to create our own timeline.

Two websites to work with songs: lyricsgapsThis is a webpage where you can find songs, with their videos, do exercises of different levels and even get the song translated (below the exercise about the song). If you become member of the site you can download the exercises. lyricstraining This is another webpage to practise English with songs. You can choose the difficulty of the exercise which consists of filling in the gaps with the correct word.
Pixton.This is an application to create comics. It is easy to use and appealing for students.
We learnt about Linguee and Reverso, two online translators. On Linguee you can find the word you want to translate in different contexts. In Reverso you can listen and learn how the word is pronounced.
Bogglesworld is a website where you can find all kind of exercises, crosswords, flashcards, lesson plans, phonic...
UK Jobs Guide. It is not the webpage we saw in class but it is a similar one where you can find information about job vacancies in the UK. It can be useful to use in class as it contains up-to -date information about jobs in the UK and students can use it to learn new vocabulary.
